Multiple reports coming out this afternoon (27 July) that Chelsea are talking with Brighton over a potential deal to sign 35 year old English striker Danny Welbeck. The news was first reported by Kieran Gill before other journalists such as Ornstein and Romano followed.
The Brighton forward has scored Seven goals against Chelsea in Premier League matches which is his most against any side in Premier League matches. Five of those seven goals have come at Stamford Bridge which is also his most at an away ground. If the deal goes through then he is certainly no stranger to scoring at what would become his new home.
