David Ornstein reports that Chelsea have officially set a deadline for the future of Argentinian midfielder Enzo Fernandez future to be decided
That deadline is 5pm UK on Friday. The west London club have said that if their £120million ($161m)valuation of the player is not met by their deadline later this week, the Argentina international will not be leaving the club. Chelsea say that the deadline has been communicated to City and Fernandez’s camp and that their valuation of the player has been confirmed to Fernandez’s agent since May. Chelsea clearly want a resolution to this situation before the final pre season game which is on Saturday versus Real Sociedad which is why Ornstein and others have been reporting that Chelsea want to know by the end of the week, it means that everybody knows where they stand so that nothing drags on into the start of the new Premier League season.
